Mom, You Need to Learn to Say No - But There are Some Things You Need to Say Yes To! Like...

If you’re like me, you’re working on saying “no” because you’re guilty of taking on too much and becoming overwhelmed. It’s important to protect your time and make sure people don’t take advantage of your skills or generosity. That said, don’t forget to say “yes” to the good stuff.

  • When a friend invites you to meet for coffee, say “yes!”
  • Invitation to join a book club? “Yes!”
  • Free yoga class? “Yes!”

Say yes to the things that will bring you joy, that will provide a break from work, kids, responsibilities, routine. We all need time off, a chance to relax and just be “us.”

Say yes to self-care!

I find that I say yes out of guilt then immediately regret it. Book Club and coffee dates are must haves!

I've found that sometimes saying YES is the very best thing I can do for myself- book club, coffee date, lunch date, theatre with a close friend... it helps me to feel like me. So important!
